The people behind the Foxglovearcade desk

Foxglovearcade began as a group chat argument about which browser shooter was worth an evening. The argument never really ended, so we started writing it down. Today the site reviews a deliberately small shortlist of quick-match arena and tank shooters, the kind you can open in a tab and be playing within a minute.

We are players first. Everything on this site comes from time spent in the games themselves: sessions on laptops and desktops, with mice and trackpads, alone and with friends. We note what happens in each session, what changed since the last one and how the game treats someone who never spends. Those notes become the reviews and scores you read here.

We keep the list short on purpose. Six games, each reviewed properly, is more useful than sixty mentioned in passing. When a game improves, we say so. When it declines, we say that too, and the shortlist order changes to reflect what is actually live rather than what was true a year ago.

Our home is Britain, which means many of our sessions happen on weeknight evenings and grey weekend afternoons. That shapes how we judge things: we care about games that respect your time, start quickly and still feel rewarding when an hour is all you have.

01

Played, not skimmed

Every review is based on weeks of real sessions with the free version, not a quick look at a trailer or a feature list.

02

Sources checked, numbers never invented

Modes, mechanics and device support are confirmed against official sources. If we cannot confirm a detail, it does not appear.

03

Scores you can argue with

Four visible scores and written reasoning accompany every game, so you can see exactly why a game sits where it does.
